The MCFOA and the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) offer professional certification programs based on education, experience and professional/social contributions.

MCFOA Certifications

Minnesota Certified Municipal Clerk (MCMC)

• must be a member of MCFOA for 3 years in order to apply
• requires 50 points in Education and 25 in Experience

Minnesota Master Municipal Clerk (MMMC)

• requires 50 points in Advanced Education and 30 in Professional and Social Contributions
• all points must be obtained after the date of MCMC designation
